Mission: Add Good.
If you’re serious about making the world a better place, add something good to it.
Barkley is an independent creative + innovation company that uncovers the good in every brand. Our job is to imagine and create a brand’s biggest possible future by not only solving business problems with creativity but by inventing opportunities through innovation and invention. It’s what we call future-proofing.
Barkley is one independent company defined by several important areas of expertise. We have created a partner company structure that offers our clients access to very specific areas of discipline expertise, while always taking a holistic approach to strategy and creative.
We’re passionate people. Passionate about work. Passionate about life. We can’t help it. It’s just the way we are. Maybe it’s because we’re independent and employee-owned. Maybe it’s because we hire outstanding people and then get out of their way. Or maybe it’s because we believe in the power of a great idea, and that great ideas can come from anyone.
Barkley and our partner companies are committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion. Our partners are the most valuable asset we have. It is our mission to build an inclusive workplace environment rich in diverse partners, talent and ideas. We encourage our partners’ differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status and other characteristics that make our partners unique.
Want to join our team but don’t see an opening that fits you at the moment? Send us your application! We are always looking for great people to join our staff. firstname.lastname@example.org
I have been working at Barkley full-time (More than a year)
The sense of creative freedom you get here and the push for collaboration between partner companies and partners is everything you need to make great work.
The same people have a tendency to get a lot of the credit for other people’s great ideas.
I applied online. I interviewed at Barkley (Kansas City, MO) in March 2017.
I applied via the Careers page on March 1. Followed up with 2 separate internal referrals. I was never contacted. 48 days later, I sent a follow-up email (the job was still posted), and the job was removed from the careers page the next day.
My guess is that the job was either filled or pulled, and no one updated the Careers website. I think the recruiting staff is either over-worked, or (more likely) lacks supervision.
Better to find out about this culture of internal communication now, than when I’m employed there and need something, right?
