Mission: We believe humans come before profits. That the world is a better place when people — and systems — can talk to each other. Our cause is to advance the interests of people and business everywhere. Our work is to solve our clients’ hardest problems.
Base2 is that rare thing—an absolutely cool place to work that does really interesting projects with great clients. A place that respects your life outside of work.
The Base2 team is a friendly, collaborative tribe that loves working here. They will help you, collaborate with you, and sometimes inspire you with what they know and what they can do. Here’s how it happens.
We’ve built a very strong culture here, and it works. We’re not big on titles or hierarchies. If you want to talk to the CEO, Ron’s right down the hall. And this is true, too: Base2 people actually care about and help each other.
We’re community minded in a down to earth kind of way. We like our social gatherings and summer picnics. Our space is light-filled, modern, and open. Oh, and there’s the espresso machine and the fridge full of free snacks and beverages.
We are passionate about customer satisfaction. We hire people who are supremely talented, who work well with others and believe as we do in serving the customer above all else.

If you’d like to join us, check out our available positions. We’re always on the lookout for innovative thinkers who like working together to crack open the hardest problems out there. If that’s you, we’d like to talk with you.
We’re engineers, programmers, software developers, senior program managers with a deep, wide-ranging toolset. We are process geeks—battle tested, focused, and driven to deliver. All of us are excellent listeners and problem solvers. Our software developers are some of the best in the business. As a group we prize flexibility and quality — we do things we haven’t done before. We’re not locked into any one way to get to the finish line, so we don’t blur our vision by pushing vendor partnerships. We have fun, and we like collaborating with each other and with clients.
Integration—systems with a high degree of complexity. Software development and quality assurance. Security. Systems engineering and design. Enterprise and embedded network systems. Program leadership and management. We bring efficiency and innovation to our client’s projects.
What’s different is that we add real value. In solving hard problems, we’ve even helped clients develop valuable intellectual property.
We’re up to speed in fast-evolving industries. We’re all in for the challenge and we honor our commitments. There are few meetings and little chit chat. Ours is a highly disciplined approach that translates into real value. We take on your project as if it’s our very own company—we genuinely want you to succeed. Our philosophy is no surprises. Our ability and knowledge is matched by our commitment to you—Base2 teams are absolutely reliable.
We love the really hard problems. We believe we can do anything we set our minds to. As a group, we love coming to work and our customers love working with us. At the end of the day, we’re all about one thing—solving the problem and doing the right thing for our client.
Leadership. Technical acumen. Creativity. Communication. Big picture thinking. All in a day’s work for our system engineers who solve the toughest problems anywhere.

I have been working at Base2 Solutions full-time (Less than a year)
Work / life balance is stellar. You won't find a smarter, more genuine group of people. You'll get to work on some pretty cool projects. We have some huge opportunities coming up and it's great to be a part of that. The company is in great shape and the next 6 - 12 months are going to be huge, I think. They'll really set us up for the next 5 - 10 years. I continue to be pleasantly surprised by each new person we hire and I work with. Nobody feels like just a number in the office - most people left bigger companies because they wanted to make an impact and be part of a close-knit team.
Sometimes people can seem like they're heading in all different directions.
Advice to Management
Work on unifying our messaging and getting everyone on the same page.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Base2 Solutions (Bellevue, WA) in March 2015.
I was referred to Base2 through a friend and then applied online after speaking with a few employees at the company and learning more about what they do. The interview process took about a month and consisted of multiple phone interviews and a final on-site half day interview.
Throughout the process Base2 was very professional. They wanted to take into consideration other opportunities I had at the time which I thought was both a courteous yet humble, and impressive approach. I felt they maintained a very honest and sincere attitude each time I spoke with someone from the company. They weren't trying to play any games, it was just honest interviewing. They were interested in seeing both if I was a good fit for Base2 and if they were a good fit for me.
While I was interviewed on-site, I felt very welcome and comfortable throughout the whole process. They continued to be very authentic in their approach. Each person who interviewed me was professional and thoughtful. They seemed like they were just trying to get to know me on a more personal level, but still posed interesting and challenging scenarios as interview questions. I left the interview thinking, "I could definitely see myself working here."
I was offered a position the next day and accepted shortly afterwards. I think the most appealing thing about the whole process was how honest and genuine everyone was. I could really tell it was something everyone believed in, and not just a collection of buzzwords on the "About us" company culture page. I think it's this authenticity that makes Base2 unique and a great place to work.
