I have been working at Bechtel Marine Propulsion full-time (More than 10 years)
Great people to work with and competitive pay.
Poor work environment. Management cares more about meeting corporate goals to get their bonuses than running a for profit business. They say the right things but there are never actions to reflect their talk.
Advice to Management
Pretend we are working for profit. Most of you would be fired in a real corporation. Bechtel wake up and step in to run this company instead of being a name on the contract with the government.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Bechtel Marine Propulsion.
I applied online. When I got a call, I was scheduled for an interview 3 to 4 weeks out. The interview was a 4 hour process with HR and a few hiring managers/engineers. I met with each of them individually. We went into great detail about the company culture, the job, and the benefits. I was told I would be contacted no sooner that 2 weeks with either a phone call with an offer or an email with no offer and they followed through with a phone call.
