The coprorated managers always try to be transparent and open with employees, communicating often and openly. The line-level expectations are clearly spelled out so you never are left wondering what is expected of you professionally.
Pay can be static over long periods of time since the work is so consistent and dependable.
Advice to Management
Take a hard look at middle managers to make sure they are really qualified for the positions they hold.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bechtel National (Houston, TX) in March 2015.
Phone interview that lasted 20 minutes. Easy get-to-know-you questions. The interviewer was very friendly and personable. Didn't give much information about the job position itself. The questions were standard pre-screen interviewing questions. Not taxing at all.
