I have worked at multiple locations, so there is really too many to pick. The most special thing I carry with me from the different locations is the wonderful people I have had a chance to meet!

Becker Furniture World was founded in 1978 by the Huseby family. Doug and Julie started this venture with just 500 square feet of showroom. Through the 1980s, Doug wholesaled furniture to other dealers and even manufactured furniture in addition to the retail store. In 1986, Becker’s tremendous growth caused the business to focus just on the retail store. With continuous expansions and innovative retailing, Becker has become a true retail destination. During the 1990s and into the early 2000s, Becker Furniture World continued to grow.
In 2010, to better service our customers, Becker Furniture World began a massive three year expansion plan. This plan included a comprehensive update/remodel of our 250,000 square foot flagship store, the opening of satellite store locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and the introduction of our mattress only stores, Becker Mattress.

At Becker Furniture World, we believe that wellness and health are key to a balanced life. We offer a variety of benefits to our staff and their families, with options to best fit each individual's needs. We also offer a unique, interactive Wellness Program to all employees that encourages preventative screenings, education and fitness.
The resources and benefits listed below are available to all staff members that work 30 - 32 or more hours each week.
Staff members are eligible for coverage 60 days after the first of the month following their date of hire. Spouse and children are eligible for coverage.
We offer two medical insurance plans: a traditional plan with higher premium contributions but lower deductible, and a high deductible health plan with lower monthly premium, but a higher deductible. Both plans include a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). Becker Furniture World makes annual contributions to the Health Reimbursement Accounts of our staff members to off-set out-of-pocket expenses. Both plans offer preventive care with no out-of-pocket expense.
We offer a 20% discount from the base rate if an employee participates in the Be Fit and Well program that is designed to encompass the whole well being of our staff.
Employees can receive a 25% discount from the base rate if all covered family members are Tobacco Free.
Both discounts can be combined for lower health premium contribution.
Staff members are eligible for coverage 90 days after the first of the month following their date of hire. Spouse and children are eligible for coverage. Staff members are asked to pay part of the premium for dental insurance.
Our dental insurance covers preventive care at 100%. The maximum annual benefit is $1,500 per individual.
This benefit allows staff members to take pre-tax deductions from their paycheck and save that money for eligible expenses, including medical, dental and vision services, and child care expenses.
We are very excited to offer a state of the art voluntary participation-based program. This benefit is available to all employees – no matter if you are full-time or part-time or on our insurance plan or not. The program covers all aspects of a staff member's health and well being: Fitness, Screenings, Preventative Maintenance, and Education. The more you participate, the more points you have and the better your chances are to win some of the fabulous incentive rewards. Our affiliated Ultimate Wellness Center offers additional services and benefits, including free health coaches.
Becker Furniture World offers our staff members a 401(K) Plan to support their long-term financial wellbeing. In addition to personal contributions, a match is offered of 25% up to 6% of a staff member's income. This benefit is available after six months of employment. Certified Financial Planner's are available to all staff members. Services included debt counseling, budgeting, college and retirement savings as well as more complicated needs.
We offer our staff members a life and AD&D insurance benefit of $25,000 for each plan. This benefit is available 90 days after the first of the month following their date of hire. Staff members can purchase additional coverage for themselves, spouse and dependent children.
This benefit provides staff members with salary continuation at 60% of their monthly income to a $5,000.00 max. This benefit is available 90 days after the first of the month following the staff member's date of employment.
Staff members may purchase Short Term Disability. This benefit provides staff members with 3 months of salary continuation if they should become disabled and unable to work as defined by a physician. This benefit becomes available 90 days after the first of the month following their date of hire. It pays up to 60% of the employee's income to a maximum of $6,500 per month, whichever is less. You choose the amount that best meets your needs.
Accident Care Insurance and/or Hospital Confinement Insurance are available for purchase. This benefit becomes available 90 days after the first of the month following their date of hire.
We encourage all staff members to take advantage of the convenience in the opportunity to have their pay checks directly deposited into the account of their choosing.
VACATION, DISCOUNTS & SUPPORT
Becker Furniture World offers staff members a generous discount off the price of our furniture, accessories and mattresses.
This is a confidential assistance program offering a 24/7 phone resource to support our staff members and their families through a variety of life's challenges. Will preparation services, Identity theft protection, and Healthy rewards discount program are also available through this service.
It is Becker Furniture World’s practice to provide employees with annual paid time off for rest and relaxation. Vacation eligibility depends on the employee's status as a full-time staff member and period of active service.
Becker Furniture World promotes a stress-free environment by providing paid Personal Time Off. The purpose of this program is to allow an employee the time to handle unexpected personal matters, as well as allow time off for employee or family member illness. This benefit becomes available 90 days after the first of the month following their date of hire.

A 1:1 Interview Was Scheduled By The Recruiter With The Store Manager Who Was Extremely Friendly, We Spoke About My Work Experience And The Job Specifics Which I Applied For.
