At Beech-Nut, we exist to help every mom and dad share the lifelong joy of real food with their babies. We’ve been making food for babies for more than 75 years at our headquarters located in the heart of upstate New York. We have our very own test kitchen where we taste our food to make sure it’s healthy and delicious. It’s the purity and simplicity of our products that makes us proud to provide nutritious food choices that support the growth and development of babies.

I have been working at Beech-Nut full-time (Less than a year)
Great training, Town halls to inform employees of whats coming up and to give feedback. Union Shop has set pay.
Works hours are based on production needs, possible 12 hour shifts with little notice. 7 hour turn arounds, maintenance crew streched to thin, often equates to long down times.
Advice to Management
Hire more preventative maintenance staff, stock common parts that would minimize downtime.
Survey staff to see what their needs are to keep their area productive.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Beech-Nut.
Went through recruiter; interview was almost an entire day with multiple finance members and included a business simulation, accounting questions and Excel test. The interview was very much geared towards seeing if you were a tight fit to what they do specifically. Some questions you could tell they wanted a very specific answer. The Excel test had an almost inappropriate range of function questions, set up for you to fail if you didn't manage time; skip the functions and move to the end.
Pros: nice tour by HR; operations all on site and very cool; some top leadership talent from top CPG
Cons: Interestingly rather than have lunch with me they just brought me a sandwich; none of the finance team gave out business cards; all leadership lives out of the area
