Mission: In today’s global market economy, those who most effectively meld technology with a passion for trading are those who will find success in identifying and capturing opportunities.

In March of 2002, Belvedere Trading emerged as Chicago’s newest market makers, soon to join the ranks of the Windy City’s elite proprietary trading firms. Armed with printouts of Excel workbooks and a team of eager minds, Belvedere established their place in the SPX pit on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
From the beginning, we began iteratively investing in our proprietary technology, first building our options model, then adapting it to work on a handheld computer, then committing to building our software systems from the ground up. Due to our ultramodern proprietary technology and risk management capabilities, Belvedere is able to quickly capitalize on inefficiencies in the marketplace. Our trading models and software systems are continually re-engineered, optimized, and maintained to stay on top of the industry.
Belvedere Trading’s success and rapid growth are the direct results of our market experience, commitment to our mission and values, and relentless focus on the training and development of our team members. We attract an amazing caliber of diverse people; our team is comprised of over 200 individuals and we are actively expanding year over year.
Since our inception, Team Belvedere has enjoyed low turnover and high referral rates due to our distinctive working atmosphere, well defined company culture, and high levels of entrepreneurship and empowerment. Our aggressive drive for efficiency, unique trading techniques, use of cutting edge technology, and most importantly, talented people, make us confident of our continued growth and success. Belvedere Trading continually looks forward to further expansion and facing the opportunities and challenges that the evolving financial markets will bring.
Our Mission Statement
To invest in the continuous improvement of our skills and technologies in order to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities in an ever-changing global marketplace.
Our Organizational Values
As we have grown and advanced, we have learned how meaningful Core Values are to us, both as a firm and as individuals. Our Core Values are important to us because they support our unified vision, shape our culture and truly reflect what we value. Our Core Values are the essence of our identity and we appreciate each and every employee for their exemplification of these values.
Me In Team
Our employees are competitive and entrepreneurial individuals who demonstrate a passion for learning and development across multiple trading and technology disciplines. Intellectual curiosity drives Team Belvedere to think strategically in creating the business solutions that help the firm achieve optimal results. We believe that great ideas can come from anywhere and anyone so we encourage all of our employees to take a passionate interest in promoting, within the team environment, those solutions they feel strongly about. Through this open exchange of ideas, experienced and novice team members alike grow professionally.
Belvedere employees work hard, and are appreciated first and foremost for their contributions to the firm and each other. We believe in the absence of barriers to communication and the maintenance of our small company culture. In order to further cultivate camaraderie and teamwork within the firm, we have a casual dress code, host company-wide social events, support various charities throughout the year, and encourage all teammates to participate in building a culture that represents them and their interests. These are just a few of the many reasons Belvedere was rated as one of the Top 25 Best Places to Work for Recent Grads by Symplicity in both 2016 and 2017 as well as one of Built In Chicago's Top 100 Digital Tech Companies!
Our team members are competitive and entrepreneurial individuals who demonstrate a passion for learning and development across multiple trading and technology disciplines. It is with the entrepreneurial contributions of Team Belvedere that we are able to develop world class education programs, provide informational shadowing experiences for the next generation of traders and developers, meaningfully contribute to the open-source community, and act as thought-leaders in the industry. And that's only the beginning.
Because of our commitment to the ongoing development of Team Belvedere, and to ensure our team members are continually learning about the most innovative technologies and trading strategies, Belvedere Trading has created Belvedere Trading University, more simply known as BTU.
BTU Mission Statement
To provide a structured curriculum to educate new team members and facilitate continuous learning for team members of ALL tenures, experience levels, and ability.

I have been working at Belvedere Trading full-time (More than a year)
I've been loving my experience at Belvedere so far. This company defines collaboration. The leadership truly gives you the autonomy and ownership to make an impact at the firm. Ideas are embraced and every employee has multiple avenues to share ideas and opinions.
Nothing specific. With any dynamic company you have to be comfortable shifting gears quickly, however, that's what makes the work exciting and more impactful.
Advice to Management
Keep it up. These are leaders that care about their people and demonstrate what it means to be a team.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Belvedere Trading (Chicago, IL) in September 2014.
Communications were smooth. First round was phone screen while coding on a Google Doc, final round was in-office (expenses paid for). Began with two written exams, then a couple rounds of behaviorals/technicals. The questions asked were all very interesting and fun to work on and the people there are incredibly smart/willing to help. Day concluded with a dinner with two team members which was a great way to learn more about the culture.
