In March of 2002, Belvedere Trading emerged as Chicago’s newest market makers, soon to join the ranks of the Windy City’s elite proprietary trading firms. Armed with printouts of Excel workbooks and a team of eager minds, Belvedere established their place in the SPX pit on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
From the beginning, we began iteratively investing in our proprietary technology, first building our options model, then adapting it to work on a handheld computer, then committing to building our software systems from the ground up. Due to our ultramodern proprietary technology and risk management capabilities, Belvedere is able to quickly capitalize on inefficiencies in the marketplace. Our trading models and software systems are continually re-engineered, optimized, and maintained to stay on top of the industry.

I have been working at Belvedere Trading full-time (More than a year)
Belvedere Trading has been a blast from the moment I started. The culture is outstanding, especially coming from other companies where they aren't as invested in their employees. I truly feel like the higher ups care about their employees, and they provide you reason to invest into the company by making you feel valued.
In an age where people play the hop scotch game from company to company, I can see my self trying to stay and Belvedere for as long as I possibly can.
Development resources can sometimes be a bit limited.

I applied online. I interviewed at Belvedere Trading.
The interview process is definitely lack of manner. I applied online and passed a online coding assessment after application. Then I was left aside for three weeks before assigning the first round phone interview for me. The R1 was with a full- time analyst in their team, it's about some technical questions related to your experience on the resume, some behavior questions and a brain tease. I received the R1 interview result the next day and was assigned for a one-week project as R2. I finished the project by the 4th day and was left aside again since that. I sent them two emails asking my application status and got replies like "we are preparing for the final round" and "the final round will happen in the early of next month". However, after waiting for one month, they replied me the position was filled. Such behavior is really disrespectful, how can they hire people if they are ill-bred!
