We have a Software as a Service (SaaS) model and we keep 'Customers at the Heart' of all that we do. The focus on software and services is obvious when you visit our headquarters at our campus on Daniel Island, SC. We have a Design + Engineering building where hundreds of world-class engineers design and deliver quality software releases throughout the year. We have a Customer Success Center that is home to about 750 customer support associates, so our customers have all their support teams in one place.

Benefitfocus is proud to support our associates' passions. Giving back is a major part of our workplace culture and we encourage associates to get involved in programs they are passionate about. To support each person's passion we launched the Benefitfocus Fund, through the Coastal Community Foundation, so any associate can submit a form for his or her charity to receive funding. For people who are new to the area, we help them find a community program if they want to jump in and make a difference. We work with and support dozens of charities throughout the United States.
Our associates are unique and have unique nonprofits that are important to them. We support their efforts monetarily and help gather volunteers, get the word out and sponsor projects throughout the year.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Benefitfocus (Charleston, SC).
Initial phone screen with on-site recruiter, then phone interview with hiring manager, then on-site interview with hiring mgr + boss, then secondary interview presenting a general corporate overview. The overall process was quite efficient!
