Each team member is responsible with knowing their strengths and weaknesses, and acknowledging those to help them become the best version of themselves.
Best Version Media brings people together by providing a superior quality, professional publication that reflects the integrity, pride and prestige of the local communities we serve.
VISION FOR PUBLISHERS
We create an exceptional environment and opportunity where an individual Publisher can excel to his or her fullest potential. We offer professional development initiatives that not only further the Publishers financial opportunity, but also have a strong focus on personal development programs that build character and virtue. This double-emphasis accomplishes our goal to have the very best leaders and visionaries building the future of BVM.

“After years of living in a small California town and commuting to Reno for work, my wife and I purchased a home in the Skyline neighborhood. We had initially intended to raise our two boys in the small-town environment of Portola, CA, where my wife grew up, but we finally realized last Spring that the commuting time was actually keeping us away from our boys more than we’d like, and defeating the whole intent of our small town living. We’ve always been surprised by how close-knit Reno feels, but your magazine really sealed the deal for us. We always look forward to hearing what is happening in our community, and your magazine with its personal stories about our neighbors makes us feel good about our choice to move here. Being here in Reno has allowed me to expand my private practice, and will allow my wife to focus on her research as she begins a new chapter in her career as a tenure track professor in the Psychology Department at UNR. Thank you so much for your publication, and helping us feel connected to our new small town.” - Brian, Lorraine, Jorge & Jack (The Good Life magazines)
“Thank you all so much for the lovely article and the work everyone did to make it happen. It looks great!! We had so much fun doing it. You all did a great job! :) The kids love to be celebrities and many of their friends at school say now "I saw you on the magazine- Is this really you?" - Andy, Lakeside Living

“Hi, Patrick [Publisher]. Per our short phone call a bit earlier today, I want to repeat sincere appreciation and delight in your South Shore Neighbors publication. My spouse, Pati, has lived here her whole life….more than 65 years…I’ve been here since 1969, serving Christ Memorial Church 18+ years, Fountain Street Church, Grand Rapids, 12 years, and, Christ Community Church, Spring Lake, 3+ years….then, I “hung up being a minister.” Pati and I delight in reading and learning about [Holland] from/with each of your issues. This is indeed a great “town”, and, you and your staff do a really fine job of portraying both the old and new thereof. So, Thank You...” - Don, South Shore Neighbors

I already have several extra copies and I'm sure I will get more today as I see people. Thanks again…please keep in touch.” - Peggy, Bay Leaves

Advice to Management
Keep up the good work
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Best Version Media in January 2016.
Through email we scheduled a phone interview for a Friday morning. The appointment time came and went and when I didn't receive a call I sent an email to see what happened. I had applied through a recruitment agency that apparently provided the wrong phone number. However, both my resume and cover letter had my correct number. We rescheduled for Monday morning at 9 am and confirmed both by email and phone to verify they had the correct number. During the confirmation call the representative alluded to the "publisher position" I applied for - which is not the position I applied for. I informed him that I had applied for outside sales and was not interested in starting a magazine on BVM's account as I already have a small business. He said there were opportunities to work for existing publications doing outside sales, which was what I was expecting to interview for. Monday morning came and went and I never received a call, nor an email with any explanation.
