Mission: Matching top talent with the world's most innovative companies.
I have been working at Betts Recruiting full-time (More than a year)
+Opportunity for growth and continual learning
+CEO is a strong, transparent, hands on, and inspirational leader
+Strong employee perks and incentives (thanks HR!)
+VP is easy to talk to and very helpful
+Learn how to network
Betts has been an amazing place to lean and grow professionally. It's taught me how to build and grow my personal and professional network (and the value in doing that). I've learned what it means to be a self starter and own and run all aspects of my own business. I came to Betts as a recent grad and have grown immensely over the last several years. Betts is not for everyone, you need to have hustle and drive to be successful and happy here. You're going to need to have a strong work ethic and discipline to be successful, it won't be handed to you, but you will have the opportunity to earn it if you're hungry enough.
+Hiring can sometimes be focused a lot more on culture fit than work ethic
+Not everyone is a team player - reward the people that are
Advice to Management
+Continue the perks (gym, stocked kitchen, unlimited PTO, etc)
+Keep investing in your tenured people and structure commission accordingly
+Keep bringing in strong leaders from the outside (but still promote the people that are ready from within)
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Betts Recruiting (San Francisco, CA).
I had two phone interviews before an in person interview. Each phone interview was about 15-30 minutes, the in person one I met with 2 people which each lasted about 15-20 minutes.
They told me that I would get the next steps from their HR person but never heard back. I emailed her a few days later asking and she didn't respond for another week plus that they went elsewhere.
This whole thing ended up taking close to a month since I never heard back which was weird since both people I interviewed with told me that I would be getting next steps.
