Mission: We are Binc! A group of passionate innovators entrenched in the technology industry. We deliver value to our clients; facilitating lasting partnerships and helping companies scale at the pace they need.
I have been working at Binc full-time (More than a year)
Excellent company to work for. Compensation and benefits are very competitive, and leadership really cares about the team's well-being. The culture is one other companies should envy. You get an amazing opportunity to work with leading companies in the tech industry, all while learning more about recruiting through the strong relationships you develop with other employees. I would highly recommend.
Nothing major - just the regular stuff you would see at any company that's going through a big growth phase.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Binc in October 2017.
Applied and received e-mail within days and then phone interview several days later. The interviewer was nice enough and I'm well aware of the lack of qualified candidates in the geography. Unfortunately, I think I misunderstood since I thought the job was virtual and guessed they were expanding into the region and wanted someone to support it.
The location was actually worse news. It's located in a downtown area notorious for parking problems, crime and most definitely not good for people like me with disabilities.
I guess I should have known when I looked at their web site and saw almost exclusively younger people doing things like hiking, rock climbing, etc that they wouldn't have thought about being in a wheelchair or using a walker.
Downtown areas are chosen because they are perceived as hip and cool. That's for the under 30 crowd. Generally speaking, mature workers have different priorities.
It's kind of sad to have been the top performer in every work group since I started working and fully capabable beyond the mobility issues... that I can't be considered for an otherwise interesting job because there's no way to accomodate my needs due to office location.
<sigh>Less work for disabled. More greenhouse gases that could be avoided by a progressive approach.
