I worked at Biotex (Less than a year)
Principals have always been extremely innovative, constantly pushing the bounds of biomedical device products and technology.
Company has continually expanded since 1998. Growth rate : started with 2 principals and now employs well over 50 people.
Have been able to develop products to sell to larger companies like Medtronics.
Relaxed environment with a mindset of product development, innovation, and process improvement.
Not a lot of potential for career growth.
Due to fast growth, sometimes policies and procedures were lagging behind creating ambiguity.
Advice to Management
Overall, great place to work. They don't micromanage and they allow a relaxed environment to be creative and do your work.
While I was there there was a little bit of lack of structure and defined roles for my department. I have visited my former colleagues since I left and it appears that they might have refined this issue.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Biotex.
was contacted through phone, after an initial round I went onsite. The phone interview was basic where he asked me questions like static keyword, interrupts, threads etc. On site , I was given a paper with questions to solve on mainly linkedlist, how to reverse a linkedlist, find a loop in the linkedlist etc
