I worked at Biovision full-time (More than a year)
If you convince that your idea/ project for the product has market value you can work on that, no problem. Working schedule is flexible. Some company events like monthly lunch or weekly breakfast are also refreshing. HR who is also the president of the company is always very supportive and helpful to me. Group leader of the R & D branch I was working is a very nice person and very supportive. Most of the co workers are very friendly and helpful.
Most of the instruments are very old and sometimes do not function well. The lab manager who is also the 'director of operation' does not bother on such instrument repairing/ buying in time and with his attitude, temperament and language use for co workers are enough insulting to generate an overall wrong impression on company's upper management though rest of them are really nice people. If this one guy is replaced from the company, the work environment will be much more easy going and every employee will take fresh breath, work happily using their natural smartness and intellect.
Advice to Management
Bring new instruments, make the work environment stress free and value new energetic young employees so that they can stay in the company
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Biovision (Milpitas, CA) in February 2015.
The interview started with a 30 minutes seminar talks with 10 min. Q&A to all the R&D scientists and project managers. The next step was 1 to 1 interviews with group leaders, R&D director and CRO. They were all friendly and professional.
