I worked at Bioworld Merchandising full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Employee are showered with appreciation gifts and events

    Forward thinking

    Corporate environment

    Creative and driven

Artistically open to ideas from anyone

    Motivated and hungry

Thriving in an environment when a lot of big name companies are folding

Working with our counterparts in other offices worldwide

    Working with smart, talented individuals

    Cons

    Constant restructuring due to growth

Constant remodeling for the same reasons

Desks and chairs are uncomfortable enough to mention in a Glassdoor review :-/

Giant, loud, open work environment that feels like a high school gymnasium

The favoritism is real and evident and at times detrimental

The pay is not good but sustainable

Procedures are constantly being implemented with little regard to the big picture

A lot of strong personalities to deal with as you climb the ladder

The work life balance is just atrocious (long days, evenings, some weekends)

    Advice to Management

Continue working on the structure so your people can work more productively.

Remember that you can't increase sales goals without addressing the infrastructure. It's causing everyone to have to work ridiculous hours to make it happen.

Keep up the employee appreciation activities. They are working.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bioworld Merchandising (Irving, TX) in February 2017.

    Interview

Was contacted immediately by HR and set up an interview for the following week. Questions were generic and overall the interview was kind of uncomfortable. They are quick to respond though. The pay for this job is between 27-30k.
