Mission: Building a World of Difference ®
I have been working at Black & Veatch full-time (More than 5 years)
Great company to work, grow and make a career. Flexible work schedule, highly comparative salaries, Employee ownership, global business and many business lines are some of the key aspects. Every professional is a leader of the company. Few recent great initiatives to tap and explore different markets and innovations in different field produce lot of opportunities to the young professionals.
As with all big company, they also lack on the fast responses and not so agile. Some of the business lines are vulnerable to market ups and downs and company yet to struggling bringing new portfolio to balance the market swings.
Advice to Management
Focus on the founding member’s key basics- keep it simple- Win work, Do Work and make Money. Figure out ways to cut down overheads on the projects, keep the workforce encouraged & occupied with challenging work during market down swing.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at Black & Veatch (Overland Park, KS) in May 2018.
The actual interviews were average. However the company was very unorganized. My phone interview was 30 minutes late, face to face interview was 20 minutes late, and the recruit stated he would contact me back to let me know if I got the position one way or the other and after each follow-up and deadline set never responded. Never received a denial or a response back at all.
