I have been working at Bloomfire full-time (More than 3 years)

Most everyone at Bloomfire has worked for other startups before, so everyone brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and focuses on bringing the successes from those experiences. Every day I am amazed at the commitment to the product and customers the entire company. I can honestly say that every morning I wake up and am excited to get to the office to see everyone I work with. Each team is very collaborative with each other and that is a huge benefit. Everyone has a great commitment to work ethic and is a hard worker. The hiring process and growth process always involves the entire company and we make sure to choose candidates that are a great fit for the company, so while sometimes it takes more time to hire someone for a position, we are sure they will be an asset to the company!

Working within a smaller organization it can sometimes take longer to be as innovative and accomplish some of the goals each team wants to accomplish.

    Advice to Management

It's great that we focus on being self-sustaining and the culture is focused on understanding the value and importance of it!

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomfire (Austin, TX) in March 2016.

The interview consisted of a phone screening, a few one-on-one meetings, and a live coding session. The live coding session had me working in the company's own codebase, on a major component where key code had just been erased for the purpose of the exercise. After that, there was a group interview with the entire company (!) and a few follow-ups with individual team members.
