With a company that is made up of about 70 percent women, it’s a great honor to be chosen for Forbes' list of The Best Employers for Women 2022! At Blue Cross NC, three (soon to be four) members of our Executive Leadership Team are women. Four board members are women. More than half of the rest of our company’s leadership positions are held by women. We have a Women’s Employee Network (WEN) and TechNow, a network for women in technology. We celebrate Women’s History Month as a company, and we are currently exceeding all of our targets when it comes to recruitment, hiring, promotion and retention of women. While we are equitable to all genders with our employee benefits, we offer twelve weeks of paid parental leave, flexible work options, tuition reimbursement, professional development, and more, to give women the support and resources needed to grow in their careers.
