We are so delighted to announce that Blue Federal Credit Union has been voted as Cheyenne’s Favorite Credit Union for the fifth year in a row! Every year, the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle asks their readers in Laramie County to submit their votes for different business categories. The award dates back many years and winning an award like this is such a big deal for everyone at Blue. We’ve been established for over 67 years and our devotion to community is incredible. Our 93,000+ members are our owners, so they’re much more than just customers to us. Out of our nearly 83,000 members, we return an average of $98 per person in the form of dividends, making us the number one credit union for giveback across Wyoming and Colorado.
Blue Federal Credit Union made a difference for healthcare professionals and first responders impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in the communities they serve. Blue delivered over 700 COVID Survival Kits to these professionals throughout Wyoming and Colorado. Living the mission of Doing Good during COVID-19.
Blue Federal Credit Union serves over 95,000 members in Colorado and Wyoming communities, and around the world. We’re part of a nationwide CO-OP network of credit unions that gives our members access to 5,000 shared branch locations across the U.S.—on par with major banks—as well as 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs.
As a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative, we return company profits to our members and communities, rather than to outside investors. We genuinely exist to serve, and it’s an honor and a delight to have our actual job be Doing Good: helping people succeed financially and in life, and strengthening the communities where we work and live.
Blue formed in 2016, when Warren Federal Credit Union (based in Wyoming and chartered in 1951) and Community Financial Credit Union (based in Colorado and chartered in 1956) decided to join forces and create a stronger-together financial institution serving more of the Rocky Mountain Front Range.

Advice to Management
Keep at it! I love the frequent and periodic communication. The periodic training and the direct/open communication from senior leadership is incredible. Very proud to be a member of the Blue Crew!
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Blue Federal Credit Union (Cheyenne, WY) in January 2019.
It consisted of a single interview with the Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, and Regional Director. This is after an initial short phone screen. The employment offer came two days after the interview.
