I have been working at Blue Valley Unified School District full-time
They have a lot of resources and are one of the more well off districts in the state. They have a ton of professional development opportunities and really encourage teachers to take advantage. Kids are good despite a bit of entitlement. Overall a good district to work for
They're a bit like a business. What District Office says is what goes even if you disagree. Teachers don't have a strong voice and are paid the least in the Johnson County area.
Advice to Management
Listen to your teachers' input more often and more seriously. At a building level we do a good job, but at the district level it's awful
An intensive several hour question process and it is either you answer the questions correctly based on the answer they expect or you are not brought back to interview with the principal.
