I have been working at Bluemercury full-time

    Pros

Gratis, BlueMercury is growing so lots of room to move around & grow. This could definitely be a career full time. The hours are amazing. Lots of vendor support.

    Cons

Health insurance, no short term disability which means if your a mother or pregnant its unpaid. I find this a bit unfortunate especially because Marla beck is a mother. You can request off Saturdays unless it’s PTO. Small teams which means if one person calls off it affects everyone.

    Advice to Management

Keep the assistant manager more in the loop, especially if the position is to take on your own store. Following up with store manager to make sure training on managerial things get done.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Bluemercury (Phila, PA) in March 2017.

    Interview

brief and just based my interview off of my last job. They did not ask me about my past numbers or product knowledge. Never asked if I was trained as an artist by any brands.
