I worked at Bluetooth SIG full-time
Waterfront office; lots of snacks, and birthday parties. Other than that, I'm at a loss. Workspace was quiet.
The company was very volatile, and there was very little direction from the C-level execs and above. It was a mystery as to what some of them did. Compensation, and benefits were also below the area norm.
Advice to Management
Figure out what the SIG's objectives are, and plan projects accordingly. It's really that simple; when I worked there, I was never sure what value the SIG was adding to the Bluetooth ecosystem.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Bluetooth SIG (Kirkland, WA).
First applied directly. Got call when applied through recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed in 2013. Most of the discussions were related to performance management and people management. I had multiple people discussing the similar issues in the interview. Completed the background reference check with assumption of pending CFO sign-off on the offer. They requested references form common contacts, I could not provide references. I did not get the offer
