I have been working at Board of Child Care full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Invests heavily in training and implementing evidence-based practices in its programs.
Great health insurance and 403b retirement match (3% - rare in today's market)
Executive team does try to be available / takes feedback seriously.
Leaders are willing to make changes / shake up the status quo.

    Cons

Some support departments need better systems to make it less cumbersome for the workforce to get what they need.

    Advice to Management

Still feels sluggish / slow to get a decision sometimes.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Board of Child Care (Baltimore, MD) in February 2013.

    Interview

Submitted resume and cover let. Was quickly notified of social work position and offered a interview. Was interviewed by the director, one on one. Director provided adequate information related to the agency, workload, benefits and position responsibilities.
