I have been working at Boddie-Noell part-time (Less than a year)
Most of the people I work with are nice and are very helpful when you need to know something. Part time employees get benefits such as dental, vision, and some insurance. Free or discounted meals are a plus.
Management is confusing...not exactly sure who is who as far as manager, asst manager, and so on because everyone is saying something different. If you are the biscuit maker for the day you don't get a break. Being the biscuit maker is a very tiring and strenuous job (especially if you have tendonitis and back problems).
Advice to Management
Make sure every employee knows who is suppose to be doing what. It's hard to know who to talk to when you don't know who the manager is. Everyone stick with the same rules and times for employees to go by. Being confused because everyone is saying something different only makes my job harder.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Boddie-Noell (Mount Pleasant, NC) in April 2015.
Put in my application on bne website and called 2 weeks later. Was called in for an interview which only consisted of filling out another paper application and giving info for a background check. She asked what position I wanted and said I should get the job as long as my background check came back fine. Never got a call back so I called back a week later. Continued to called and finally got someone to talk to me after 4 attempts. It was a different lady who wanted me to come in for an "interview". When I got there she let me know that the woman I had talked with the previous time was no longer the manager so things had gotten a little confused. Did my orientation that day and started work the beginning of the next week.
