I worked at Bollinger Shipyards as a contractor (More than 3 years)
it's a great company. good environment, great people to work with.
no good on benefits, eliminated a lot of benefits . the clinic that they used for employment is discriminatory to employees.
Advice to Management
get a better clinic for employment criteria. and get better benefits that's been eliminated ...
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Bollinger Shipyards.
I sent my resume and cover letter directly to the HR representative for a position. Within a few days I got a response and filled out a formal application. There was great communication about the position and within a week I had in interview at the office in St. Rose. The interviewer was very short with me and I was shocked that she had only 3 questions for me. It was as if she hadn't even reviewed my resume. The interview lasted an hour only because I kept asking questions about the position, but I could honestly tell she wasn't interested in me from the moment I walked in the door. After a few weeks I hadn't heard anything and so called and emailed a few times. Unfortunately, my calls and emails have gone unanswered and w with no reply from both the hiring manager and HR rep I've concluded I was no longer a candidate for the position. I will never interview with this company again.
