I have been working at Boulder Community Hospital part-time (More than 3 years)
Coworkers are friendly, and will generally go out of their way to help you out. Made many friends at work. My department manager is fantastic.
The pay is below most other employers for the same job title and responsibilities. There is an over emphasis on technology, newness, and gadgetry that does not necessarily improve patient care. They are very strict about overtime. The culture is tolerable, but people seem generally frustrated, overworked, and underpaid. Food is not very good. Scheduling can be hit or miss. It can be hard to get good hours.
Advice to Management
Pay increases to compete with market rates. Better food. Bring back incentives and benefits that help employees attend educational programs such as tuition assistance.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boulder Community Hospital (Boulder, CO).
Applied on their website. Had a phone interview with someone in HR, then a phone interview with someone from the IT team and an in person interview with some of the sys admin team and management .
