I worked at Bowman and Brooke full-time (More than 3 years)
I love the paralegals at that Bloomfield Hills office. Great friendships and they are willing to help and go the extra mile, it didn't matter if it wasn't their trial or case.
I wish I could say that for some of the secretaries. Too much backbiting and backstabbing. Probably due to insecurities.
Advice to Management
Each one teach one. Have meetings with the paralegals (separately from staff). They have a very high billable rate and bring in money to the firm. They handle A LOT OF THE HEAVY LIFTING and should get more respect and help. All in all great training, very nice partners, Associates and Senior Counselors. I had a good time there. The people who meant the most to me and who gave helpful criticism, they know who they are and I really appreciate them. Go there to get your feet wet and cut your teeth on great training.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bowman and Brooke (Los Angeles, CA) in January 2016.
Initial phone interview with managing partner. Easily set up a time after applying by email. I believe the firm screened about 10 other candidates at this time. The call was and questions were fair. Was told the firm would follow up soon, but was told the firm ended up not hiring any new attorneys at that time. Fair experience.
