I have been working at Brainfuse part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been working part time at Brainfuse for over a year now and I truly love this job. The company rarely intervenes and let’s you work as much or as little as you see fit. Their online tutoring software is actually pretty cool. I telecommute from Pittsburg and have tutored students in almost every state. The pay is fair considering it’s a part time job and you get to work from home (say goodbye to those long drives to work sitting in traffic!) Any problems with either the software or students are fairly easy to settle with supervisors and the tech team. The few times I’ve emailed them with an issue it’s been fixed literally within minutes.

    Cons

Don’t consider this to be a replacement of a regular full-time career. It’s great for bringing some extra income but won’t fully cover your financial needs. This quickly becomes a reality during the summer or winter holidays when there aren’t as many students to tutor. It’s also not full of long-term career opportunities. That said, if you’re looking for a fun way to earn some cash on the side Brainfuse is totally worth it.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Brainfuse (New York, NY) in January 2017.

    Interview

The interview was fairly easy. You have to pass a series of small tests. The directions were clear and the tests were not difficult. Mainly, they just want to see if you are capable of tutoring in the field that you are applying for. There were scenarios that you had to describe appropriate actions.
