    Pros

    * I love the company mission * Amazingly talented colleagues * I've learned (and continue to learn) a lot * Safe and friendly work environment - easy for me to learn and contribute * Contributions are recognized and celebrated * Autonomy given to understand and solve problems * Difficult and fun technical challenges - very rewarding solving them * Lots of opportunities to collaborate with outside Chromium contributors (Chrome, Edge, and more) and external contributors on GitHub * Management is extremely supportive with hiring and employee professional growth * I strongly feel the company is transparent about everything (decisions, roadmap, etc) * Competitive pay and great benefits

    Cons

    * Some people may not enjoy working remotely (working from home). There are offices - but only in a few select locations (San Francisco, London, ...) * Almost everything the company does is public (on GitHub). This can be interesting when angry users seemingly pop out of nowhere and attack you or your work

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brave (United States) in Nov 2023

      Interview

All around a mess; they initially had my email address wrong, the initial person couldn’t tell me anything meaningful about the job, promised me a next step with the hiring manager but then I received an email that I am no longer considered for the position. I think that’s a blessing in disguise for a company that sounds like it has zero focus. They discussed way too many projects/directions for such a small company.
