I worked at BroadSoft full-time (More than a year)
Stable company with somewhat established market and customer base
Limited upside, seem to be getting beaten to the punch by some of the new comers like 8x8 & Ring Central
Advice to Management
Figure out how better to get to the enterprise space through your current channels or look for an exit.
I applied online. I interviewed at BroadSoft (Gaithersburg, MD) in March 2017.
I was contacted for a telephone interview followed by an in-person interview. The interview process seemed to go well, the hiring manager and director both expressed interest in me and stated they wanted a second interview with one of their executives in addition to a request i complete a proposal to enhance their on-boarding process. They even went as far to say i would receive a call back from their recruiter to schedule me for a second interview the next day. I never received a call, completed the proposal per their request and emailed it to the hiring manager. An entire month went by and no word after several attempts to reach out to the hiring manager and recruiter for a follow up.
Employers need to recognize they must leave a good impression on candidates whether or not they are selected. Word of mouth is powerful and first impressions are lasting impressions. The same way candidates have a duty to sell themselves in a positive light employers have the same duty.
