I have been working at Brock & Scott, PLLC full-time (More than 5 years)
Encouragement from Operating Manager , Department Manager and Attorneys in office . Open door policy with HR and management. Mutual respect from management and Attorneys . Very positive and relaxed work environment. Managers interact well across departments with employees . Attorneys are approachable , EXTREMELY knowledgeable and accessible to all at the firm .
I have no cons for anyone who wants to work here ! There are cons for about a handful of employees who ruin it for the rest of us .
Advice to Management
Not everyone sees the benefits package and 401K as a " benefit" and certain employees can only complain , gossip and berate the firm when management is not around yet, smile to their faces .and state they don't make enough money . Certain employees " run up the clock " by pretending to work as they know managers cannot always keep eyes on them and brag about it out loud '" gotta run up my time , run up the clock til overtime kicks in " . Multiple employees pretend to be listening to podcasts yet, talk on their cell phones to their friends , children , boyfriends/ girlfriends throughout the day . When an employee is answering back verbally to a podcast or music more than likely they are on their cells with earbuds that include a mic having a conversation . One employee near my area talks on their phone several hours a day using this bogus technique and has for a long time . One NOH employee smoked her E cig in the ladies room while on the phone .
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Brock & Scott, PLLC in January 2016.
The interview was bizarre... I was hired fairly quickly, however I was taken into a room with 3 members of management who awkwardly asked questions and made faces at each other with random nods. They all seemed cold and unfriendly from the get-go and my hunches were correct. They have no formal process for selecting applications, the general manager randomly pulls resume's that have been submitted and selects a few for interviews.
