I have been working at CBC Companies full-time (More than 5 years)
Loyal to employees, very stable work place, non-toxic work environment
Promotions out of longevity, not merit. No ability to think outside the box or to see opportunities that do not fit their narrow pre-conceptions. Maintaining the status-quo is far more important than the pursuit of excellence.
Advice to Management
who cares if a company can produce the best possible 8-track tape player? Don't give up the work/life balance or compromise your integrity, but try to be technologically relevant and seriously re-think who you promote.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at CBC Companies (Penn Pitt, PA) in August 2016.
The interview process was desperate. It's obvious they have a high turnover and are just trying to get everyone through the door and through the training. They call whatever temp agency they use the same day and say the decision is between you and one other person and say if you come down on your initial asking of wage, you'll probably get it. I was desperate at the time and came down a couple cents. I was dumb, there was no other person. They just try and get you to accept the offer as low as possible. It's a joke.
