CBRE is committed to fulfilling its role as a responsible corporate citizen by supporting and adding value to the communities in which our employees live and work.
CBRE Cares, the company’s corporate giving and volunteerism arm in the U.S., helps facilitate this effort by serving as an overarching platform to further a variety of charitable endeavors, both large and small in scope. CBRE Cares strives to create real benefit for individuals in need through local community outreach and support, disaster-response initiatives, and locally driven, nationally sanctioned programs.
At CBRE, our core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence are the guiding principles in all that we do. And we approach our commitment to service with the same enthusiasm and creativity as we approach our business, every day. Our professionals are dedicated to bettering the communities where they live and work, and we continue, as a firm, to build on that compassion for the good of those in need, all over the world.
In response to ongoing global discussion about climate change and its impact on the natural environment, CBRE has committed to minimizing that impact for our company, clients and communities. Buildings are widely viewed as a significant contributor to carbon emissions, and as the world’s largest manager of commercial buildings CBRE has both a responsibility and an opportunity to influence the way buildings are built, sourced, managed, occupied and sold. This ability to drive sustainable real estate practices is a fundamental principal of our environmental leadership.
Guided by our Environmental Sustainability Policy, CBRE’s environmental strategy leverages 11 key areas of environmentally sound performance in our own operations and our client services. The policy provides a set of internal practices and programs that strengthen our own environmental commitment, reflect the best environmental practices we help clients adopt in their own real estate, and provide vital training and education to our professionals.
CBRE recognizes that a thoughtful approach to sustainability and its application to the built environment can create positive impact on our business, the communities in which we live and work, and the health of the planet.
I worked at CBRE (More than a year)
Good industry training and professional culture.
Low pay at the beginning and long hours. Par for course.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CBRE.
It was an extensive Interview Process with 3 phone interviews and 3 in-person interviews. I was led to believe I had the position and would be contacted in the next day or two to finalize, but no call came. I followed up and was told they were sorry and that everyone was busy, but they would be back to me by the end of the week with next steps and again, no contact from the company. I followed up one more time with the HR contact, she thought they had hired me and was going to get back to me, but she never did. It was very disheartening as I had spent about 15hrs in interviews and no one had the courtesy to tell me they were not hiring me. Throughout the interview process, everything was positive, but their lack of finalizing anything and just letting me hang out there, really soured me on the company. Very unprofessional.
