We are the People Who Get IT
Our fingerprints can be found on technology in workplaces and workspaces of more than 250,000 companies, from fresh-faced startups to international conglomerates. We’ve powered record-breaking data traffic at a Super Bowl stadium and equipped mom-and-pop stores with POS systems for Small Business Saturday. We’ve helped hospitals keep medical records secure from data breaches and we’ve migrated a university business school to the cloud. With the breadth of products and services we offer, combined with the expertise of our specialists, there is no request too big or too small.
From coders to creatives, tech gurus to sales pros, our people are the heart of our business. We call them coworkers - not employees - because we’re all members of the same CDW team. Every single person, regardless of level or location, plays a part in our success. At CDW, you can make a difference.
At CDW, we embrace different and we never stop chasing improvement. We know that tomorrow’s ideas, don’t come from yesterday’s thinking, so we prefer working with people who see the world differently.
We offer forums for our coworkers to celebrate their differences, network with peers and develop career and leadership skills, which we call Business Resource Groups (BRGs). Our BRGs include:
The CDW philosophy on diversity extends beyond our coworkers to include the customers we serve, the communities we live in and our valued supplier partnerships.

I have been working at CDW full-time (More than 8 years)
Good people. Most seem to genuinely care for the success of the company (and therefore individual success as well).
Not really a “con” but seems as though working in one of the satellite locations vs the headquarters is a different world comparatively. Seems like some would disagree with this input but I can only comment on my own location/experience.
Advice to Management
Some of the day to day asks can be really tedious and after a while can be frustrating. All things considered I would speak very highly of those I have reported directly to as well as leadership and overall do not have any negative feedback.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CDW (Chicago, IL) in December 2016.
The interview process was rigorous but well thought out and efficient. It is clear they have their act together. My recruiter worked with me from the beginning to the end and made sure I was well prepared for the in person interviews.
The process was basically two phone interviews, and then an onsite tour followed by an interview with my future manager. I found out the same day that I interviewed in person that I got the position.
There was a LOT of behavioral interviewing-IE-When is a time you've been in X situation and how did you handle it. This occurred in both the phone interviews and the in person interview with the manager.
There isn't really any-everyone's base is the same and it's just a matter of what your commissions will be like based on your own effort-so I wouldn't even try negotiating.
