With offices in the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, our staff consists of more than 500 employees from around the world.

Compensation and Benefits

We strive to maintain a compensation program that is fair, competitive, and supportive of the strategic goals of the organization. Compensation is composed of two major components: base salary and incentive compensation. Base salary is reviewed annually based on performance and other factors. Incentive compensation is based on organization and individual employee performance.

Global Awareness

Because our members, candidates, partners, local societies, and employees are located around the globe, every single CFA Institute employee strives to be culturally aware. To further this important goal, all full-time employees are eligible to participate in our International Rotation Assignment Program, which allows individuals to spend a certain period of time working with staff at a different CFA Institute office around the world.

    Pros

    Excellent values and opportunity to grow the organization, the profession and personally

    Cons

    Main office in Charlottesville- I moved here to work at CFA Institute and the organization is rife with elitist academic types who have little real world experience. Simply knowing the definition of a term is not proven ability to implement - if more employees here understood this there would be more accountability for their words and behavior in the workplace.

    Advice to Management

    Hire people with investment and business experience and hold the opinionated, self-centered types accountable for the negative and at times hostile environment they create.
