    Positive Outlook

I have been working at CGI America as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

CGI America is a good team, and has several interesting, experienced individuals that know the ins and outs of relationship management. Of the three key responsibilities of the Working Group Associate role, (Recruitment, Program Development, Commitment Development), I find the Commitment Development the MOST rewarding. Brokering partnerships to kick off social/sustainability impact projects is the best aspect of this role.

    Cons

The experience/learning curve on this job is extreme, and managing the foundation database is an incredibly delicate coordination project. Also, the "Associate" role is a project-based role, so working with uncertainty about what will happen at the end of the project is a mid/low-level stressor and distraction.

    Advice to Management

Mirror the year-round "track" structure that CGI uses at CGI America, with an understanding that there is leverage from human resources by either adjusting salaries of Associates for year-round employment or higher recruitment targets.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CGI America (Troy, AL) in October 2014.

    Interview

Interviewed for a Technical position(vs Functional). 45 minute On campus interview, i basically defended my resume, no technical questions. -> Email to schedule on site(Troy, AL) interview -> On site interview consisted of two more of the same interviews. Disappointingly, still no more technical questions. Received interview results 5 weeks later, no offer, but then had my information forwarded to another HR manager in Columbia, SC. Haven't heard back yet. All communication seems to be very slow.
