We shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model as a way to deliver much-needed medical care to rural communities across the country. Since then, we’ve grown to become one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the nation, offering physician, nurse, and allied health staffing for temporary and permanent positions in all 50 states, as well as far-flung places like New Zealand, Australia, and Guam. 

Our growing family now includes more than 2,600 employees and eight offices in six states with our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our people are passionate about what they do and take pride in knowing that their job makes a difference. Just last year, our people placed more than 14,000 healthcare providers who served nearly 27 million patients.

Our people are passionate about giving back and go above and beyond to serve the causes they care about. Our goal as a company is to make it easier for them to do that.

In addition to giving each employee eight hours of paid volunteer time off each year, we also offer our people the opportunity to participate in team volunteer activities, blood drives, and subsidized humanitarian trips.

Just last year, our people gave more than 10,000 hours of service, served on three humanitarian trips, donated 91 pints of blood to save 270 lives, and delivered more than 2,000 meals to seniors through the Meals on Wheels program.

We also host a variety of company activities to raise money for local nonprofit organizations. Our biggest event is our annual Making a Difference Week, where our people have raised millions of dollars for United Way and other local charities.

    Pros

    CHG is a great company to work for. We work hard and play hard. I love the core values and this company lives by their core values, including Putting People First. Our new company headquarters is an amazing place to work. I love having an onsite healthcare facility, cafeteria and gym. I also love the company focus on Making a Difference to our community as well as to other community and to the world.

    Cons

    There are not many cons to working at CHG! If I had to list one, it would be that the company could have a better 401k match.

    Advice to Management

    Keep living the core values and doing what you are doing to make our company great!
