Company Updates

  • COVID-19

Our recruiters go the extra mile for providers. Here's how one travel nurse recruiter stepped up for her nurses during the height of COVID-19.

  • COVID-19

If the phone rings at 10 pm, Sofia Mylla answers it regardless of the late hour. She knows it’s probably an emergency need for a nurse. Sofia works as a recruiter for our RNnetwork travel nursing division. She’s been doing the job for three years now, matching travel nurses with jobs throughout the country. And, as you might expect, she says she’s never seen anything like this before. “This” is the fallout from COVID-19.

CHG Healthcare – Why Work With Us?

People matter. Especially here.

We’ve built our business on one ideal above all others: Putting People First. Sounds simple enough, but it requires the same commitment from the whole CHG family. It guides our actions and allows us to fulfill our larger purpose of making a difference in the lives of our people, our customers, and our communities.

The best way to become an industry leader is to create your own industry.

We shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model as a way to deliver much-needed medical care to rural communities across the country. Since then, we’ve grown to become one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the nation, offering physician, nurse, and allied health staffing for temporary and permanent positions in all 50 states, as well as far-flung places like New Zealand, Australia, and Guam.

Our growing family now includes more than 2,600 employees and eight offices in six states with our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our people are passionate about what they do and take pride in knowing that their job makes a difference. Just last year, our people placed more than 14,000 healthcare providers who served nearly 27 million patients.

Make a difference — at work and in the community.

Our people are passionate about giving back and go above and beyond to serve the causes they care about. Our goal as a company is to make it easier for them to do that.

In addition to giving each employee eight hours of paid volunteer time off each year, we also offer our people the opportunity to participate in team volunteer activities, blood drives, and subsidized humanitarian trips.

Just last year, our people gave more than 10,000 hours of service, served on three humanitarian trips, donated 91 pints of blood to save 270 lives, and delivered more than 2,000 meals to seniors through the Meals on Wheels program.

We also host a variety of company activities to raise money for local nonprofit organizations. Our biggest event is our annual Making a Difference Week, where our people have raised millions of dollars for United Way and other local charities.

Blurring the line between Monday and Friday since 1979.

The reason CHG is a great place to work is because of our people and the core values they uphold every day — Putting People First, Continuous Improvement, Integrity and Ethics, Quality and Professionalism, and Growth. These core values are the foundation of our people-centric culture, providing us the opportunity to elevate our thinking and empower our people to be their best.

Our award-winning culture fosters an atmosphere of trust, caring, and fun, and creates a workplace where employees feel free to be themselves, thrive personally and professionally, and feel supported at all levels of the company.

When your day job provides life-saving healthcare to those who need it most, it’s easy to get excited about what you do.

Whatever’s meaningful in your career, you’ll find it here. Check out our open jobs.

A great workplace celebrates more than just your birthday.

Our employee benefits are just as unique as CHG itself. From pet insurance and free onsite healthcare to a casual dress code and paid volunteer time off, our award-winning benefits program enhances all aspects of our peoples’ lives because we know their lives encompass more than just their jobs.

Here are just a few of the benefits we offer:

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at CHG Healthcare.

    Interview

I was referred by a friend. First contact was with Talent Aquisition and she was a point of contact throughout. I had a tech interview over the phone next. That was fairly simple. Then in person interviews - I had a couple of these. All in all, they were nice and made my feel fairly comfortable. Nothing too technical was asked. They stress culture and personality fit.

    Interview Questions

    • They always ask what you would do if a coworker attacks you with a nerf gun on a Friday afternoon.   Answer Question
    • They asked what my favorite prank I've played on a coworker was.   Answer Question
