Mission: CHG makes a difference in the lives of those we serve -- our people, our providers, our clients, and our communities.
When MaShel West first joined CHG 16 years ago, she didn’t just find a job, she found a work family.
Growth and development is a big part of our culture. Learn more about Nicole's professional development at CHG.
We’ve built our business on one ideal above all others: Putting People First. Sounds simple enough, but it requires the same commitment from the whole CHG family. It guides our actions and allows us to fulfill our larger purpose of making a difference in the lives of our people, our customers, and our communities.
We shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model as a way to deliver much-needed medical care to rural communities across the country. Since then, we’ve grown to become one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the nation, offering physician, nurse, and allied health staffing for temporary and permanent positions in all 50 states, as well as far-flung places like New Zealand, Australia, and Guam.
Our growing family now includes more than 2,600 employees and eight offices in six states with our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our people are passionate about what they do and take pride in knowing that their job makes a difference. Just last year, our people placed more than 14,000 healthcare providers who served nearly 27 million patients.
Our people are passionate about giving back and go above and beyond to serve the causes they care about. Our goal as a company is to make it easier for them to do that.
In addition to giving each employee eight hours of paid volunteer time off each year, we also offer our people the opportunity to participate in team volunteer activities, blood drives, and subsidized humanitarian trips.
Just last year, our people gave more than 10,000 hours of service, served on three humanitarian trips, donated 91 pints of blood to save 270 lives, and delivered more than 2,000 meals to seniors through the Meals on Wheels program.
We also host a variety of company activities to raise money for local nonprofit organizations. Our biggest event is our annual Making a Difference Week, where our people have raised millions of dollars for United Way and other local charities.
The reason CHG is a great place to work is because of our people and the core values they uphold every day — Putting People First, Continuous Improvement, Integrity and Ethics, Quality and Professionalism, and Growth. These core values are the foundation of our people-centric culture, providing us the opportunity to elevate our thinking and empower our people to be their best.
Our award-winning culture fosters an atmosphere of trust, caring, and fun, and creates a workplace where employees feel free to be themselves, thrive personally and professionally, and feel supported at all levels of the company.
When your day job provides life-saving healthcare to those who need it most, it’s easy to get excited about what you do.
Whatever’s meaningful in your career, you’ll find it here. Check out our open jobs.
Our employee benefits are just as unique as CHG itself. From pet insurance and free onsite healthcare to a casual dress code and paid volunteer time off, our award-winning benefits program enhances all aspects of our peoples’ lives because we know their lives encompass more than just their jobs.
Here are just a few of the benefits we offer:
I have been working at CHG Healthcare full-time (More than 10 years)
I have worked for this company for over 15 years and it is simply amazing. The culture here is honestly what they claim it is. CHG lives by it's core values and it's how they run their business. When they claim to put people first that is exactly what they do.
For me there are none. I have the flexibility I need. I have work life balance and I' supported by leadership.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CHG Healthcare (Millcreek, UT) in January 2014.
1 phone call (Screening Process/Interview) - In person interview with recruiter - Came back a couple days later and interviewed with the managers of the team I was being considered for - 2 hour shadow - offered the position on my way out - Offer letter came that day or the next
