    I worked at CITGO full-time

    Pros

Smaller than similar IT departments at other companies. This means you have the opportunity to "do it all" rather than getting stuck in some relatively small, repetitive task.

    Cons

Management track is basically frozen. No room to move up. Side effect of a place where every manager wants to stay. You will need to be very patient. Slow to adopt new technologies because of budget constraints.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people well. They are sacrificing marketable skills to stay with you and are at a disadvantage if they leave.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CITGO.

    Interview

30 minute interview with possible boss. He first spent 10 minutes explaining the position and details about the internship. He then asked me several questions about things I had put on my resume and also why I was applying and hoping to get out of the internship. I would be working under him, and then his boss got on the phone and talked to me for a little.
