In honor of International Women's Day see what our Partners and Principals shared about the female employees of CME Associates.......
David Samuel, Managing Partner:
“The female employees of CME have been a critical part of our company’s success from the beginning. From supportive roles to upper management, the women of CME contribute daily to our success internally and externally.
CME works to create and maintain a supportive environment for the retention and advancement of women. We are a stronger organization because of the women in our workforce and we hope to see the number of female employees continue to increase in the future.”
Doug Rohmeyer, Principal:
“CME is fortunate to have female employees fulfill several key roles within the company. They are able to diversify the workplace and connect with certain clients in a unique way.”
Timothy Gillen, Principal:
“Personally I have found all female employees to be an asset to the firm in whatever position they are employed. All of the women in administration are very helpful and efficient. Our Administrative Assistants are hard-working and effective in helping the engineers get their projects completed. Our female engineers are very conscientious and professional in the performance of their work efforts. One of our former female engineers is now the Director of Public Works for one of our clients which I believe was due, in part, to CME's training and encouragement.”
Trevor Taylor, Principal:
“Being a diverse and inclusive company, CME Associates continually supports and invests in the women at our firm which is essential to our ability to drive responsible growth and serve our clients as well as each other in all aspects of our business. The women at CME Associates are instrumental in the success of the firm at every level and have proven to be invaluable in the recent growth of the company by exceeding the expectations of our clients and providing an exceptional work product.”
A note from HR…..
Valerie Guarino, Human Resource Manager:
As a female holding a managerial role at CME I feel supported and respected performing my job. The Partners, Principals and CFO work with me on critical decisions and they genuinely care about the employees and the success of the CME team. As the HR Manager I am proud that our policies and practices embrace fair and equal treatment of all employees. I appreciate that the Partners and Principals celebrate our employees and their growing families. With support of upper management our employees can work toward a greater goal of success both professionally and personally.
I have been working at CME Associates full-time (More than a year)
Upper management and HR has always been very approachable. I have been with the company only 2 years and already received a promotion; employment growth opportunities is important to me and I see that available to me with CME. Never have I felt spoken down to by management or superiors. As CME continues to grow I still feel appreciated and noticed for my hard work.
While management and HR has been helpful and respectful, there can be lack of communication between office employees which can make the job difficult at times.
Advice to Management
Keep encouraging employees to want to invest themselves in the brand of CME. We like to feel like we are an essential component to a company, and so far I feel that has been achieved here!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at CME Associates (Monmouth Junction, NJ) in April 2018.
My experience with CME Associates was very positive, I was presented this opportunity to interview through a recruiting agency. The interview was 1:1 at the ICON office in Monmouth Junction, NJ. I felt extremely comfortable from the beginning and welcomed into the office by both the receptionist and my interviewer. The interview lasted about an hour and a half, at first I was given a summary of the history of the company, we then reviewed my resume (be prepared for a thorough questioning of your background, experience, and any explanations of gaps), followed by my own questions (I would bring a print out of your prepared questions and take notes).
