CO-OP Miracle Match

“We love engaging our Houston-area credit unions in fun ways to give back to the community, like our bowling and golf events. The Credit Unions for Kids program allows us to do this and raise meaningful funds for children’s hospitals in our area. CO-OP Financial Services allows us to elevate the good we can do for kids in need through their Miracle Match program.” - Steve Gilman President and CEO of Houston Texas Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union, and Chair of the Houston Chapter’s Children’s Charities Fund

In 2008, CO-OP Financial Services introduced Miracle Match, a philanthropic program that encourages credit unions, leagues and chapters to create and participate in fundraisers for local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN Hospitals). CO-OP supports the good these credit unions do by supplementing the funds they raise with additional matching funds up to $10,000 per event.

CMN Hospitals raises funds and awareness for its 170 member hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care. Since 1983, the nonprofit organization has worked with its various fundraising partners, including credit unions, to raise more than $5 billion in support of its mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Here at CO-OP we have a great partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have supported them by donating millions of dollars to this great foundation to help children recover from serious illnesses. Every year during the holiday season, our employees like to spread some holiday cheer and donate hundreds of gifts to the Salvation Army’s Angels program
