Rewards & Compensation

We reward our Financial Representatives for their hard work with corporate-wide recognition and first class travel, and our compensation program with base salary plus commissions is unlike any other in the industry.

Complete Control

Do you ever find yourself thinking:
•“I feel overworked and underpaid.”
•“I can’t grow in my current position. I feel like I’ve hit a glass ceiling.”
•“I am never recognized or rewarded for my efforts and hard work.”
•“I wish I had more control over my salary.”

Don’t worry, we can’t read your mind…but we can definitely relate.

That’s why we offer you the opportunity to have control over your income as a Financial Representative – the harder you work, the more you make. Sounds nice, right? But the benefits don’t stop there. We believe in rewarding our financial representatives for working hard with corporate-wide recognition, first class travel and more.

Rewards:

We offer some great incentives and rewards to our Financial Representatives for their hard work. Here are just a few perks of being a Financial Representative at COUNTRY.

World-Class Travel and Events

Each year, our Financial Representatives and agency managers who excel are invited to participate in special incentive programs. Recent trips took top producers to New York City, Ireland, Hawaii and Rome.

Events include an annual sales convention and other regional activities where our financial representatives enjoy being recognized for their hard work.

Training Bonus

New Financial Representatives receive a bonus upon completing the COUNTRY Agency Learning program.

Designation Bonus

A bonus will be paid to Financial Representatives when earning certain professional designation.

Generous Benefit Options

For new financial representatives, we provide comprehensive health and dental coverage with low-pay premiums. Additional benefits include group life insurance and long term disability insurance. Our long-term financial representatives can also receive retirement income based on sales productivity.

Compensation:

The compensation package we offer is unlike any other opportunity in the industry for three reasons:

  1. We do NOT require a large investment up front.

Licensing and exam fees are the only initial out-of-pocket expenses. This includes your property / casualty and life / health state insurance licenses. But we do offer some bonuses to help cover these costs once you come on board with us.

  2. We provide a competitive base salary.

The base salary is offered for the first three to five years of employment and changes based on your productivity.

  3. We provide commissions on every line of business sold.

Up to the first five years of employment you will only receive first-time commissions, as renewal commissions are replaced by your base salary. After the first three to five years, the renewal income you’ve worked hard to build will be large enough to replace your salary and support the operations of your business.

Why this approach? We offer this level of compensation simply because we want to set you up for success and give you the opportunity to grow your business.

This helps reduce your taxable income and increase your take-home pay.

Employees can elect group medical insurance, employee life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and retiree medical coverage. Our comprehensive health benefits are designed to ensure employees can obtain the coverage they personally need and want, and are focused on promoting the health and well-being of our employees and their families.

We provide employees with paid time off as well as an additional day of volunteer time off. Here's a Taste of What we Offer

Our intern program has great benefits that will help you secure your future career goals.

  • Networking Opportunities - Our interns attend the annual kick-off to meet other interns and engage with the CEO of our organization. As a COUNTRY intern, you will get the chance to interact with managers, directors and top executives as part of our “Leadership Speaker Series.” Nothing takes the place of interacting and learning directly from our organization’s leaders.
  • Mentorship Program - You will have a mentor who is also in your division as a direct contact for questions and guidance throughout your internship. Managers and mentors are both available to assist you in gaining exposure to other departments or areas through job shadowing opportunities.
  • Compensation & Housing - Interns earn competitive pay and enjoy paid holidays alongside our full-time employees. Eligible interns also have the option to utilize the COUNTRY housing assistance program and receive a stipend for the rent expense paid by COUNTRY directly to the housing company.
  • Real Fun and Giving Back! - Program activities vary from year-to-year, but include intern fishbowl lunches and local community sporting events. Our interns compete in a case study competition for scholarships while developing project management, collaboration and problem solving skills. Each year our interns give back to the community by volunteering at places like Habitat for Humanity, Midwest Food Bank, Safe Harbor and most recently the Washington, Ill. tornado clean-up effort.

I have been working at COUNTRY Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Corporate culture is incredible! Generous salary, incredible benefits, flexible work schedule, and support not only in your professional goals, but in personal development as well. I encourage any friends living in the area to apply!

    Cons

This is still a full work week with goals to meet and projects to complete, so if you're looking for a place to just "get by" this isn't the place for you. The teams here work together and have fun, but they get things done!

    Advice to Management

Continue supporting and building the camaraderie between teammates. You are invaluable in every division of this company! Thank you for leading well.

    IT Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Alpharetta, GA
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at COUNTRY Financial (Alpharetta, GA) in May 2017.

    Interview

I applied online, and was contacted by a recruiter 1-2 weeks later and setup an initial phone screen. It was very laid back and conversational (talk about experience, prior roles, what I want to do, etc..) I was told I'd hear something back, one way or another, within about a week or so. I never heard anything back. It turned out not to be a good fit for me after holding the interview, but would have been nice if they would have at least followed back up. Seems like a good company overall.
