The company provides FREE CEU opportunities throughout the year for employees to meet licensure requirements. Licensed therapists can enroll in play therapy courses to complete requirements for RPT certification. Enrollment in play therapy classes requires a two year employment commitment after completion of courses for CREOKS to pay for courses in full. CREOKS promotes and hires from within the agency, so there are opportunities to advance or to try a new area within the company. Rural clinics offer NHSC/HRSA loan repayment opportunity.
Pay is not very competitive with similar agencies. Electronic medical records created "in house" and glitches are constantly being worked out. Communication between management and field staff is poor. Some management positions are "appointed" rather than advertised as an internal job posting. Some clinical management positions held by unlicensed staff.
Advice to Management
Improve communication between management and staff. Clinical management staff should be licensed and have minimum experience equal to or greater than the staff being supervised.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CREOKS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES in April 2013.
Spoke with HR by phone and an interview date/time was scheduled. Met with the Clinic Director and the Regional Director during the interview process to answer questions about my education, training, licensure and experience.
