I have been working at CUNY (City University of New York) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a mentally stimulating environment. Full-timers have access to benefits like free courses, in addition to medical, dental, and vision.

    Cons

Dependents do NOT get free or reduced tuition. Limited chance to make extra money outside of teaching more classes. Of course, there may also be limited access to resources due to the nature of public education.
