I worked at CWCapital LLC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not sure why so many negative reviews. Overall great experience, learned how to underwrite every asset class which is a very valuable skill in the RE space. Comp is above market and work/life balance is fine (off by 6-7 unless there are project deadlines). Also there is a great deal of independence as long you get your work done.

    Cons

Although great benefits (including 40 hours of training and a portion of paid tuition/year), HR is terrible.

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CWCapital LLC (Needham, MA) in July 2011.

    Interview

Got two rounds of interviews, one with Sr. VP of Finance, the second one with CAO and the SVP of finance again. Both were laid back and friendly. Since HR was avoided all together (thank god), there was no nonsense, such as what is your weakness and why would we hire you. So, both interviews were direct and to the point. No games, got an offer letter two days after the second round.

    Interview Questions

    • What's your experience with financial modeling. What projects have you been involved before?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

No negotiations. I went through an agent and I got exactly what they promised.
