I worked at Cache Creek Casino Resort full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Fantastic Benefits package and great team. Flexible schedule and great pay. Many longterm employees (because it is a good place). Free food, transportation options, PTO. Tuition reimbursement, many, many other countless benefits and perks. The tribe truly cares about their employees and invests a ton of money in employee benefits. Because of all the Pros, this company has given many opportunities to my growing family. People commute 45 min + just to work here, and they become long term employees.

    Cons

It is a boys club up top. But they are generous and care.

    Advice to Management

Quite a bit of obvious nepotism in some departments, even if the employee is not a benefit to the department or not qualified when others are. Not much done about it of course, hard to prove intentions.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Cache Creek Casino Resort (Brooks, CA) in April 2015.

    Interview

The one on one interview had a few phone interruptions, which was not very considerate of my time. The clubhouse manager kept asking if I was sure I did not want a management position. He seemed to not believe me that I was comfortable taking the position I applied for. I felt I was being judged by my age and not ability.

    Reasons for Declining

They offered me a full time position with graveyard shift in a 24 hour cafe. I was looking for part time at the golf course clubhouse. Totally different position and hours.
