    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at California Casualty in December 2016.

    Interview

    I had three interviews over a span of three weeks. The first was a phone interview going over my resume, and asking a few general STAR questions. The second was in person with two people. One of those people would be my direct boss. The third was also in person with the department manager, and the assistant department manager, and was a more casual "get to know you" interview.

    This position was not entry level, and throughout the interview process it was made very clear that internal candidates are preferred. I thought it was odd they kept repeating that, but it can't hurt to have interview experience. All of the interviewers were very nice, though.

    • Did you ever have a project not turn out the way you wanted? What was your hardest decision regarding a client? What do you need in a department manager? What do you need from a supervisor (direct manager)? Have you ever disagreed with your boss? If someone in another department asks you to break the rules because they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford to feed their family, how would you handle the situation? What systems do you use? How do you organize/prioritize your day? What does dependable mean to you? Why CalCas? Tell me something about you that is not on your resume.   1 Answer
