I have been working at California Steel full-time

    Pros

Competitive pay based on area, decent benefits and profit sharing. A lot of training opportunities if you want to learn a trade

    Cons

Like most companies the butt kissers are rewarded and the least talented people end up being promoted to leadership positions. Some departments are micromanaged to a fault.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating basic employees as if we're not critical to the operation of this plant and that we're completely replaceable

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at California Steel.

    Interview

It was Board style interview with about 10 people asking questions. They expect you to draw pictures and read prints in front of them. Just answer as good as possible and if you don't know the answer tell them that you can always research the problem on the job.
