    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at CalvertHealth (Prince Frederick, MD) in March 2011.

    Interview

The interview process for Calvert was long. Multiple parts to the interview -- from the VP of IT, group interviews with team members, and even a group interview with all the other IT staff. A thorough tour of the facilities were provided, informal interviews and meetings with key hospital personnel and HR staff. Overall, it was a 3 hour interview.

    Interview Questions

    • Standard questions for the IT world regarding experience and familiarity with software, particularly EHR software, HL7 and SQL Management Studio. Strangest question that was posed in this interview (and those I was part of after getting the job): If you were a tree, what kind would you be and why?   1 Answer
