CamelBak invented the hydration category in 1989, when founder Michael Eidson decided there had to be a better way to hydrate during a 100-mile bike race in the sweltering August heat in the middle of Texas. Since his original prototype of an IV bag strapped inside a tube sock ... Read more

    Pros

Great company. I worked for a summer, learned a ton about the industry. They set me up for success later in my career with other companies

    Cons

Pay was low. But I knew that going in. Really no complaints. Everyone was always really busy. Sometimes project turn around was slow as a result.

    Advice to Management

Keep making awesome products. Hope to come back one day.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CamelBak Products (Petaluma, CA) in July 2017.

    Interview

1 phone screen followed by in person interview with five people, some of which was by phone. The interview itself was pretty straightforward - they asked lots of standard behavioral questions about why camelbak, walk me through your resume, etc. The red flag was that they've apparently been trying to fill this position for over a year.

I thought I did well but I guess not. They sent me a standard rejection letter a week later, which is a bit disappointing that HR didn't care enough to let me know personally. I used vacation days from my current job to come in and interview - most places would have at least emailed me directly letting me know why it didn't work out.
