I worked at Cameron Health, Inc. full-time (More than 5 years)
Company was a trailblazer in creating new technology to treat fibrillation. Being a start up there were tremendous opportunities to contribute in multiple areas and learn. Was rewarded for the work performed in different areas. Personally it was a great learning curve. It would not have been possible to learn and contribute in multiple areas in an established company, which tend to be rigid with the structure being in medical device domain.
Long term planning was not great.
Advice to Management
Too many departments involved in resolving issues with out planning.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cameron Health, Inc. (San Clemente, CA) in September 2010.
Many 1:1 interviews which made for a long day. Very friendly, professional individuals with good questions. Presentation was tough. Must be prepared for questions at the end. Good initial communication with the Company. Had the first interview after the phone interview over coffee off site. Overall a good experience.
Yes, was able to negotiate to some extent. Best to let them know up front what your pay expectations are rather than a surprise after the fact. Not able to negotiate stock due to strict guidelines.
