I worked at Cameron University full-time (More than 5 years)
Generally, great students. However, Cameron has an "open admissions" community college function and many students who are enrolled as two-year students have a difficult time understanding the time requirements for college-level learning.
Depending on department, of course, support from deans and department heads.
As an instructor you teach fifteen hours of courses. Additionally, instructors work on assessment, other department duties, and university-wide committees, etc.
Funding issues at OK schools is problematic and a continuing challenge.
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Cameron University (Lawton, OK) in June 2015.
I talked to the hiring manager and he told me to come to his office for one on one conversation. He asked if I was a student of Cameron and why I want to work as a custodian instead of something different.
